We loved the room at this place, especially with the balcony and the view of the river and park. It was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The staff were incredibly helpful and cheerful, even with all the repairs and renovations happening. They made our stay extra enjoyable, despite the challenges they must be facing. The shared kitchen and bar/lounge area were great amenities, and we were able to leave our bags on the day of checkout and still have a full day of exploring before heading home. The service was top-notch, and the room had all the necessary amenities, including heating and a shared bathroom. a fantastic experience staying here.
We highly recommend this venue to families and anyone looking for a great place to stay.

The locality and proximity to good hill walks and the town for food outlets; currently good for outdoor gear bargains; The view from our bedroom was good - looking over the river towards Skidaw; Friendly & helpful staff and a good breakfast.
Car parking is a problem but there is somewhere a short walk away where you can park without restrictions. There were some rowdy youngsters staying there for the one night;

We had a fantastic stay at the hostel in Keswick. The location was absolutely superb, with the center of town just a 2-minute walk away. The hostel's cafe bar was a cozy and friendly spot, and the self-catering kitchen was beautifully well-equipped. We enjoyed waking up to a view of the river and fresh snow on the slopes. Despite some minor drawbacks like noisy doors and limited plugs near the bed, the value for money was excellent. we highly recommend this hostel for its great location, friendly atmosphere, and modern facilities.
